Tanner J Fox’s Amazon Products – A “Guru” Exposed

First, please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel where I do videos on Amazon FBA!

I also do periodic giveaways of my Ultimate Amazon Seller Course on my YouTube channel – a $500 value!

On this page Tanner J Fox’s products on Amazon in his store “Straight Edge Innovations” are revealed.

When Tanner’s products were found and revealed, Tanner first claimed that the products belonged to his 16 year old neighbor kid who Tanner opened an Amazon Seller account for.  You can see that claim below.

When holes were poked in that explanation, Tanner then claimed that his Amazon account was “hacked” and he was not able to get his Amazon Seller Account back from the “hackers” and so he closed that account.

It is pretty obvious that Tanner makes much more money selling his Amazon course than he ever made on Amazon.  He has to maintain the illusion that he knows how to successfully sell on Amazon so that unsuspecting people will continue to buy his course.  The truth is that Tanner never had much success on Amazon and running the sales numbers on his products makes that clear.

How do we know that the Amazon store “Straight Edge Innovations” belongs to Tanner J Fox?  See below about his LLC filing with the State of California…

Update:

Tanner recently has done a YouTube video “revealing” the products he supposedly was selling on Amazon before his account got “hacked”.  Even in his latest attempt at deception, some truth shines through – he is still selling the faucet adapter!

Tanner has also recently done a video with Jonny Bradley where Tanner refers to me and this webpage.

Both are below.

Update 2:

Read about Tanner J Fox’s association with known scammer Dan Dasilva.  It speaks volumes about Tanner that he is friends and business associate with Dan Dasilva. Tanner certainly does not keep good company!

Scroll to the bottom of this page to read about Tanner’s “underage” kid claim!

Fidget Spinners:

Didn’t Tanner say to stay away from fidget spinners in some of his videos???

I thought Tanner said that sex toys were something to stay away from???  Wonder why he is selling them?

Amazon Merch:

Tanner has said to stay away from Amazon Merch… Do as I say and not as I do?

Faucet Extender:

He is still selling his “Faucet Extender” that he claims he no longer sells:

It is interesting that one of his first student success stories is selling the same fidget spinner with the same wording and description as Tanner’s (but his friend/student is in Canada):

It makes you wonder if he gave his first couple of “successful students” his best performing product so they could do successful student interviews for his YouTube channel?

And another first “successful” student doing the same:

Tanner Lies Again About His Products Blaming “the Kid next door” – notice how nervous Tanner gets when trying to explain – he needs to work on his poker face!

Let’s see how long before Tanner removes this video too!

The “Underage” kid lie:

In one of Tanner’s Live Q&A videos after his products on Amazon were revealed, Tanner tried to explain the Straight Edge Innovations Storefront by saying that he helps an UNDERAGE teenage neighbor kid sell on Amazon under Tanner’s LLC!
Tanner said that he charges the underage kid 10% to manage his store listing.  Maybe Tanner should have thought this through a little bit more before repeating this lie publicly?
After all if this claim were true, Tanner admits to maintaining a store front for an underage neighbor kid, which is clearly against Amazon’s Seller Terms of Agreement.
Also, if this were true, this means that Tanner is enabling an underage kid to sell SEX TOYS on Amazon!  I wonder what laws that breaks in the State of California? LOL!

The Liability Problem:

Tanner obviously is a smart kid.  He knows that when you open an Amazon Seller account for someone else to use (in this case a 16 year old minor) Tanner assumes all of the liability for what the kid sells and does on Amazon.  Tanner also assumes the liability for any lawsuit that a customer might bring against the LLC that he claims to have registered for the underage neighbor kid.
Are we to believe that Tanner registered an LLC in the State of California just so that he could let an underage neighbor kid sell on Amazon???  Would you do so for your underage neighbor kid?
Ask yourself this: If you were the neighbor kid’s parents, would you let a 20 year old guy next door set up an account for your child?  Would you let a 20 year old neighbor guy open an band account for your child? Would you let that 20 year old guy manage your child’s bank account.
Besides the obvious legal and ethical issues that Tanner’s lie creates, opening an Amazon Seller account for someone else is against Amazon’s policies and would subject the account to being terminated as well as any other seller account that Tanner would have.
Clearly, this underage neighbor story is a fabrication by Tanner in attempt to explain his Amazon store and it’s products.

Let’s take a look at Tanner’s best selling product: the bed restraints

Here is a screenshot of what Jungle Scout has to say about Tanner’s sales:

You can see that he is lucky to make $700 a MONTH from this product!  If you repeat this will all his other products it is clear that he is not making anywhere near the $30,000 per month he claims he makes from his Amazon products!
WHAT A FRAUD!

An Updated Lie:

Tanner now says his Amazon account has been “hacked”,  another “convenient excuse” as to why his Amazon store is a flop!

He is realizing that his new “Personal Branding” course is not going to make him millions like his scammy Amazon course did.  You will see Tanner refocusing his efforts on Amazon once again since his Amazon course is obviously his cash cow.

The Dan Dasilva Partnership:

Tanner is good friends and partners with the drop shipping scammer Dan Dasilva!  I guess this should not be a surprise – that is probably how Tanner learned about how to fleece people out of their money by claiming how “successful” his Amazon business is!

Here are typical accounts of how scammy Dan Dasilva is:

Dan apparently thinks it is also OK to steal other people’s work.  Dan Dasilva “borrowed” some photographs from a photographer’s website and used the photos on his own.  The photographer successfully sued Dan Dasilva and the photographer won a settlement of $27,000! Dan hopefully learned the hard way that it is not OK to steal other people’s work! Do not give Dan Dasilva any of your money!

“Yup. A close friend of mine was partners with him in one of his gimmicks a few years back and he’s a class-1 scammer. He rents nice cars for promo videos, blatantly lies about his success and revenue stats. People like that are actually sick, not sure what the sickness is called but you can’t be sane if you’re doing those kinds of things. Hope he gets well one day.”  – wade

“I am seriously wondering what this guy is all about. I joined his webinar on the 100k blueprint. and like you said all he did was brag about his system and having the life you ever wanted, bringing about some pictures here and there about people hitting 100k…. on a non existent facebook page. What made me laugh is when he said hes got a guest on this webinar and her voice was cutting and when it was finally clear ( the way hes done it was so fake ) – she says dan is great, follow his system ( something along that line lol and literally posting a pic that she says, I am too old to be his mother – JUST WTF!) and disappears. seriously listening to him made me feel so uneasy. Also he keeps saying say whatever in the chatbox – something you dont even have access to and cannot view. but says oh people are saying this and that. He also never ever stopped talking or bragging about how great his system is. basically all he was doing was giving you some topics hes going to cover in his 1000$ system LOL! YES THATS THE PRICE I HEARD. hope am wrong.  I mean all in all, based on my impression off him. He is a big time scam and I would suggest you to avoid this person.” – xdawn

“Lol i joined his second webinar and it was just the same like you said: The woman whos audio is always declining, bragging about the results and when isaid in the chat that this is a sellout scam website he banned me from the webinar hahaha. He said 100 times in his emails to us he is gonna teach us something but all he did was bragging and preframing us to buy his 1000 dollar course.” –korele

Even more fabrications and half-truths by Tanner J Fox:

In a recent video Tanner with YouTuber Jonny Bradley, Tanner mentioned yours truly and continues to lie:

Tanner’s claim is that I was recruiting students in his Facebook group for his course because I wanted to do consulting.  This is a half-truth.

I was a student in Tanner’s course and this was before I became aware of Tanner’s products.  There were a huge number of students in Tanner’s Facebook group that were having troubles and Tanner was not active at all in his Facebook group.  I began answering a lot of questions in the group – questions that Tanner should have answered.  A lot of the students I helped asked if I could do paid consulting/mentoring.

I decided to contact Tanner to see if it was OK for me to consult with some of these students because they obviously were having problems.

Here is the email that I sent Tanner (in its original entirety):

Hello Tanner,

I don't know if you have seen my posts in your Amazon Seller Mastery
group. My first couple of products were sourced from a local
manufacturer in the city where I live. This gave me a quick head
start on getting the products to Amazon and selling. I also now have
two products I've sourced from Alibaba live soon. Your course gave me
the jump start on this and it was worth every penny! Thank you! The
month of June far exceeded my guesstimates of sales by a large amount.

After hearing about my success, I have been receiving a lot of
requests from people in the group wanting for me to provide
mentoring/coaching/consulting to them - the majority of those who
inquired wanted me to teach them how to find products from local
manufacturers like I did successfully. Since you offer consulting, I
have turned down all consulting and mentoring requests that I have
received, explaining that it is your Facebook group and that I would
do so only if I got your permission to do so.

I was wondering if you would consider working something out, like a
"reverse affiliate" type of thing (for lack of a better term), where
you get a percentage of each mentoring/consulting session that I do
with one of the students of your course? It could be a win-win for
both of us, in that you obviously do consulting on all aspects of your
course, and you show them how to do it through Alibaba, but those who
have contacted me are primarily interested in me consulting with them
on how to go about sourcing products locally - how to find
manufacturers near them, how to approach the manufacturer and be taken
seriously, how to negotiation with them, etc... I say win-win
because, if the students I do consulting with go on to have a
successful product, that would give you even more success stories of
students of your course, increase the credibility of your course even
more, and, of course, a percentage of my consulting fee goes to you.
I think for you, there is only an upside to this and really no
downside, since I would be consulting on something that you do not do
consulting on. The upside for me of making more students successful,
is that I would possibly get more students to consult with on the
subject, the downside for me is that, if I cannot help the students I
consult with be successful sourcing products locally, I won't get many
more students to consult with. What do you think?

Any which way, it is absolutely amazing to me to watch how you made
$1,000,000 in such a short time and in such a smart way. I wish I
would have had 10% of your business smarts when I was your age! I'll
continue to watch you hit your future milestones at $10M, $100M,
etc... I know you will do it!

Best Regards,

Phil Covington"

You can see that Tanner thought the idea was great.

Tanner even wanted me to do a student success story on his YouTube channel!

However, about a week or two after exchanging the about email, I was suddenly kicked out of Tanner’s Facebook group.  Here is Tanner’s explanation via email in its original entirety:

Hey Philip!

I am a little late in sending this email. Things have been crazy getting
the expanded version of the course ready to go up on the new platform.

The reason I took you out of the Facebook group, is because I received
several complaints from other members. You can't try to sell anything, or
post any affiliate links in that group.

I really appreciated all of your helpful comments and information in there,
but can't allow any posts attempting to sell something, even if they're
subtle.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Tanner

Hi Tanner,

OK, no problem. I saw that the last link to my blog included some
links to YouTube videos too, so I was in violation of your group
policy.

Thanks,
Phil

As you can read, I was not kicked out of Tanner’s Facebook group because I was trying to “recruit” students.  I was kicked out because I posted a message to the group in answering a question but it included a YouTube link which violated his group policy.  I even admitted that I realized I violated his no links to other YouTube channel policy.

About a month or so later, I found Tanner’s LLC listing by accident which lead me to his Amazon store.  It became clear to me that Tanner’s income claims about his Amazon business were fraudulent.  So I created this web page so that no other unknowing person would be tricked into Tanner’s course by Tanner’s dishonest claims of income.

The claim that I am saying that Tanner’s course is a scam is not true either.  If you watch my YouTube review of Tanner’s course you will see that I say that his course is not a scam!

What I am saying is a scam is Tanner’s super inflated claims of income from Amazon as a way to get people to buy his course!

I am particularly disappointed in Jonny Bradley who was interviewing Tanner in the above video.  I thought Jonny was one of the more honest guys on YouTube, but clearly he has thrown in with the fraud who is Tanner J Fox.  Shame on you Jonny!
